Who we are
The Oregon Middle Level Association (OMLA) is a professional organization dedicated to supporting educators who work with young adolescents, typically ages 10 to 15, in middle-level education settings. As an affiliate of the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE), OMLA focuses on promoting best practices, professional development, and networking opportunities for middle school educators across Oregon.
Mission and Activities
OMLA's mission is to provide a network of middle school educators to support one another in implementing proven strategies that are appropriate for and effective with 10- to 15-year-olds. The organization offers various resources and events, including conferences and workshops, to facilitate the sharing of ideas and best practices among educators.
Membership
OMLA offers several membership options:
Professional Membership: $35 per year
Dual Membership (OMLA and AMLE): $79 per year
Membership provides access to professional development opportunities, networking with fellow educators, and resources tailored to middle-level education.
Events and Conferences
OMLA collaborates with AMLE to host events such as the Pacific Northwest Middle Grades Summit. The next summit is scheduled for April 2026 and will feature keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities.
