Congratulations to our Award Winners

 David Putnam Middle-Level Teacher Award honors    experienced, excellent middle level teachers. It is given in honor of David Putnam, a former middle level teacher and administrator and one of OMLA’s founders and continued supporters.
 
John Pence Award for Service to Middle Level Education   is given to individuals that supports middle level education. The award is given in honor of John Pence, a middle school teacher and administrator, who served on the OASSA/OESPA Middle Level Committee as well as many other positions.

Pete Lorain Middle Level Leadership Award   honors middle level educators that help forward the profession. Pete was a founder of OMLA and a leader in the Association for Middle Level Education.

Oregon Middle Level Association Young Professional Award  goes to an outstanding middle-level teachers new to the profession.

 Oregon Middle Level Consortium Mentor Teacher Award  recognizes mentors supporting future educators.

 Each awardee will receive:
·         Membership in Oregon Middle Level Association for the remainder of this year and for next year
·         One-year individual membership in the Association of Middle Level Education
·         The Encyclopedia of Middle Grades Education, edited by OMLA & OMLC Board Member and PSU professor, Dr. Micki Caskey
